National Book Award, Young People's Literature, 2005The Penderwick Sisters are home on Gardam Street and ready for an adventure! But the adventure they get isn't quite what they had in mind. Mr. Penderwick's sister has decided it's time for him to start dating, and the girls know that can only mean one thing: disaster. Enter the Save-Daddy Plan, a plot so brilliant, so bold, so funny that only the Penderwick girls could have come up with it. It's high jinks, big laughs, and loads of family warmth as the Penderwicks triumphantly return.

I know the author, who lives a half hour away from my house. I might be annoying her with how much we tell her that we love it. And Susan Denaker is AMAZING at the voices, especially Batty's. BUY IT. NOW.
I re listened to it a million times! It's an incredible series also. Read it!
This is a very wonderful book! I love it Love love love love love love it
"Impressive! Fills your Imagination!"
Between Ms. Birdsall and Ms. Denaker, the listener is truly immersed and becomes one of the Pernderwicks. The novels thus far remind children that parents are a sign of authority and security but yet we are human. The love between each of the children and their father is tangible and always growing that there is enough room for to new family members.
This is an excellent book with tidy ends to stressful adventures! It is an excellent book to listen to during family time. We loved listening during our family road trip!
The Penderwick stories are fantastic. I cannot wait to hear the next one. The narrator is very expressive and engaging.
It was an amazing book and will read again and again, I loved it so much!
"Great read with the kids!"
We travel a lot and love to listen to books that adults and kids enjoy. The Penderwicks have become a favorite!
"Sad But memorable story"
The prologue is a bit sad but I liked the rest of the story very much. The narrator is awesome and so is the rest of the book very much. I have enjoyed reading this book over and over again. Highly recommended for 7 and up.
The narrator is very good at reading and I think this is as good as pumpkin pie better than number 1
