Summary
Brought to you by Puffin.
Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong are taking a holiday on the world-famous Orient Express - and it's clear that each of their fellow first-class passengers has something to hide. Even more intriguing: there is rumour of a spy in their midst.
Then, during dinner, there is a scream from inside one of the cabins. When the door is broken down, a passenger is found murdered, her stunning ruby necklace gone. But the killer has vanished - as if into thin air.
Daisy and Hazel are faced with their first ever locked-room mystery - and with competition from several other sleuths, who are just as determined to crack the case.
'A delight . . . Hazel and Daisy are aboard the Orient Express: cue spies, priceless jewels, a murder and seriously upgraded bun breaks' The Bookseller
'Addictive . . . A rumbustious reworking of Agatha Christie's Orient Express caper' New Statesman

Clever and enjoyable
All books in this series are loved by my children (and my husband). This was no exception. The characters are believable and likeable. We always fail to work out 'whodunnit' and I was completely wrong in this one. A clever plot.

Lovely
Some of the lines are repeated but wonderful story plot. I would recommend if you have read/heard the other books by Robin Stevens. :)

Good family fun
Enjoyed it. I like how it references Christie without ever quite copying it. Hazel and Daisy are good fun.

On track to being a great series
Really enjoyed this, although I worked out the murder early on, it still entertained enough to keep me satisfied. Could have been a little more cunning but as an episode within the series it works.
Some of the accents were slightly weird but I actually like this because it gives a real sense of the characters from the point of view of the narrator, Hazel. It's her story that comes alive rather than the author's.
