A Very well written and Instructive read
Perhaps my few words need not be said as I gather this book has already topped the best seller lists . A few hours to listen too as I did but I think a lifetime to work out, a classic that I shall come back to time and time again you will not be disappointed

I want to conquer the 7 habits
I was reluctant to go for an audiobook as I thought that I would just buy it, start listening to it and half way through leave it. But as I listened to it, it got me intrigued and kept me hooked up as the narrator had a very good way of explaining things and keeping you in the moment. I did take more than a month to finish this book but I am happy because now I know in 1 year I finished one book so I can still go for 11 more and manage to finish 12 more if God wishes. Stephen Covey is an awesome author and the way he put everything together is amazing the way he explained examples with every habit at the end of every habit he made you do exercises was very good. after reading this book I am sure I'm going to go back to it and give look at the summary and start working on the 7 habits myself because at the end I want to conquer them all.

Makes a difficult to read book more digestible
I started reading a hard copy of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People but found it extremely helpful, but also very hard going. I then got the audiobook and I'm making much better progress.
In terms of the book itself, it provides great structure and context to simple things that you may already be doing in your life. However with this structure in place, it gives a great framework for taking more control over your life in order to help you achieve your goals.

Essential reading, but the pace may frustrate you
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
The 7 Habits seem obvious when they're spelled out to you but, as tends to happen so much these days, the clutter of modern life gets in the way of what you know you should be doing and leaves you with just enough time to manage what absolutely must be done. There's no time for reflection or any of the mindfulness we hear about. Forming habits takes time. Repetition and time. The repetition and slow pace of this audiobook is much criticized, but for me, this is exactly what's required for a meditative tome to work. The narrator is the author, which always improves delivery of any text, to my mind. He knows the subject intimately and delivers his message clearly and faultlessly, allowing you to work, drive or simply relax, without needing to give it your full attention. You won't miss anything because key points are reiterated, elaborated on and, yes, repeated so a full understanding gently assimilates in your subconscious, as if you knew the 7 Habits all along.I'm going to listen to this book several times, and I recommend you do too. It's well worth your time, if not your full concentration, because the potential upside to making even 1 of the 7 Habits stick could be life-changing. And who doesn't wish for that?
Any additional comments?
The author has a slight lisp, which is endearing but thankfully not distracting. I find his delivery is as lively as you'd want it to be; erudite and authoritative, warm and friendly. And American, of course.

Interesting but not impressed
I enjoyed listening this book but there were moments when it sounded a bit annoying when obvious stuff sounds like something very special and clever. But no regrets, overall book was interesting and in some way useful.

Really good read. Even funny in parts.
Really easy read. Definitely something to listen too again at a later date. I like that he goes into detail with all the issues. No issue is left unturned.

Life lessons for everyone - a must-read!
I have known about this book for quite a few years, but never got around to reading (listening to) it, as I thought it would be filled with quick fixes.
I am so glad that I finally did! Nothing about this book is shallow or short-term. It's deep, profound, long-term and (potentially) life-changing. Both theory and practical examples are beautifully laid out, and the narration is fantastic which makes it even easier to get excited and take it all in.
Some of the habits I realised that I was already practicing and it's great to get reaffirmation that they work. Others were new to me and I've already started applying them both in my professional and personal life.
I can't recommend this book highly enough! Read it!
Ps. Just one note on the criticism from some people about Stephen being religious and that some of his advice is linked to that. I myself am an atheist and still had no problem with that at all. Just substitute the religious aspect to something that matters to you. For me personally, that something is connecting with nature.
