I think the best thing about this book, is that it explains how the creative can use their creativity most effectively in the world of work or self employment.
There are so many highlights and points that I wish were given to me on my overprice degree.
Truly is the 'Missing Curriculum 'and is is recommended reading for all artists,creatives and entrepreneurs.

Make Your Mark is a perfect place to start once you discover that happiness is found in making an impact with what you do and what you make. It's practical advice for building a business on the principle of giving.

The book is written from the sole perspective of someone who works at a task best performed by a solitary sole. Interaction with others is an evil to be purged from your day. If your creativity involves a Service role where thise so-called distractions and interruptions are the core of your business .. a teacher, a performer, a carer, a commercial artist or photographer, then DONT BUY THIS BOOK. If the phone ringing or email beeping to the arrival of a customer, or a new student, or a gig booking, then pass by swiftly. If your creativity is blogging, tweeting, and emailing to keep your profile i the customer's field of view, then do not walk past, run for your life, this book will kill your business. If you, like this author, are an author who best works in cave hidden away from others, then email me and I will gift you my copy of this Stone Age Technophobic book. Quote, "It's not good enough to be busy ... ants are busy ... blah blah." Well Ms Glei, ants are very a effective community. They communicate with each ant they meet on their relentless role of fostering and caring for the community. They creatively adapt to their environment in amazing ways - ask a biological scientist if you disagree. Not everyone who is creative needs or is best working as an island. And your comment on there being no such thing as effective human multi-tasking is laughably wrong. Not a book for anyone other than a non-commercial writer/novelist/author/sculptor/painter, Not even a journalist could use this poor book.
The missed opportunity of hurling this paperback into the trash can.
