It talks about diagrams and pictures in the CCNA book which makes no sense as you can't see them, and because of this many topics are extremely difficult to understand.
The diagrams in the additional PDF seemed to be out of order and there was some keyboard noise audible in the background, but it was useful aid for memorising some of the commands and concepts for the CCNA exam. It isn't detailed enough to use on its own, but it's a useful companion to the official Cisco material.
"Where to find the diagrams"
Click the link above called "Download the accompanying reference guide."
This is where to download the diagrams.
"Adds another level to learning CCNA"
I really enjoy the audio, lecture series. The only thing is there are references to a resource disk, with diagrams / examples. The lectures reference these diagrams a few times, they are referenced in a way that you need the resource material (diagrams) to follow along. Granted if you are driving and listening you cannot follow diagrams, but you could review the diagrams that spark interest and re-play audio portion again.
"Great for a review of stuff you have seen before."
The clear voice of the narrator as well has his way of explaining the material.
I liked that it went over a lot of sub-topics in a reasonably short amount of time without confusing you with unneeded information.
For the people talking about not being able to find the reference...how about look on the page thoroughly before commenting about it not being available. It's there, open your eyes. Also, to the guy talking about how it's not good for listening to in the car because of not being able to use the reference guide. I agree with you, but when I bought this audio book I knew fair well before hand that I would not be listening to it in the car. Unlike many other audio books, this one is definitely more of a sit at your computer while looking at the reference guide type of audio book.
There is a link to the reference guide on the same page that you purchased the book from (the product page) Also, this is much more efficient listening to at home with the reference guide in front of you, not while out and about.
"Useless with out images and figures"
The entire book text constantly refers to images and figures that would complement the text. The images and figures show the command line examples, commands, and samples that you need in order to pass the CCNA. Not one command is given in text, it is all commands shown in the figures. If you have a question in the CCNA like what is the command to generate a Key? You won't know because while the chapter is there to explain what a Key, the command was never said, displayed or demonstrated. I actually ended up purchasing this book again as a physical copy to compliment the material. Which kind of makes me hate this purchase.
As long as its not an educational piece. His voice was soothing and clear.
All of the above.
There needs to be supplemental material for this book or it is just a HUGE waste of money.
I felt this audio was good as far as touching base on important CCNA topics, but if I hadn't already studied CCNA material and new the terminologies I don't think I would have had a clue as to what he was talking about.
"where are the diagrams"
Why are they referencing diagrams if you can't view them? That should have been downloadable as well.
"resource cd not provided"
the lecture references diagrams and command outputs from documentation on a not provided resource cd
"Nice rehearsal, bad companion pdf"
This is my first audiobook from Audible. Good.
