Disappointed
Really enjoyed this to start with, until the last few chapters which I found ridiculous and unbelievable. Also too many prolonged sex scenes. Overall, glad to have listened to this one, narration very good, but disappointed with the end as other reviewers have mentioned

poor story
I usually love Adele Parks work but was disappointed by this one. It was very slow to start with and the inevitable 'twist' was obvious from the beginning. The characters lacked any depth, I wouldn't recommend this book

Quite riveting
Really intense with red herrings throughout. Short sharp unslushy ending. Slightly too much repetition of the female characters internal feelings. A good easy read.

Twists
Interesting twists and turns from the beginning to the very end. I found the actual story line horrified me morally and mortally, but nothing could have prepared me for the shock at the very end, I am good at detecting who is going to be responsible for this and that, everyone likes to have a guess a long the way right? Well let's just say I guessed very wrong, without telling you the ending!

Rubbish ending

Great concept that turned predictable.
this book started so well. Really intriguing and so interesting. One lady, living a double life with 2, very different husbands, gets kidnapped and her world is revealed. Great, but that's where it ends, it then becomes predictable and without substance. The press, her family nor the school have any real input. It also ends without everything being tied up, which I find frustrating. (but I'm sure many enjoy the open ending). I read the whole book and liked it, but I won't read another Adele Parks. The narration was good!

Unlikeable characters
I feel I’m probably being too generous with my stars.
The plot line of this book is so unbelievable and the character Kylie is so unlikeable! But for some reason the author wants us to like her. The long internal monologues she has justifying her life choices are so boring and also so deluded! Justifying her double life because “at least I’m present when I am with the kids unlike other mums who go on their phones!?” Um, you live half the time with another man…and you think you’re more present than most parents?…give me a break!
Also no one can make me believe she wouldn’t just out and out chosen Dan. The odd throw away line of how kind Mark is had no one convinced, he didn’t come across as someone you would commit bigomy to keep hold of. Just a bad story line and bad characters. Avoid.
