Summary
Sir Michael Caine is loved not just for his many films, but for his warmth, honesty, and humour in describing every aspect of his life from his humble South London beginnings to performing alongside the greatest Hollywood actors of the day. As Sheridan Morley wrote about his first book: 'It has taken two decades to get a man back on (Niven's) Moon, and the man is Michael Caine.'
In this long-awaited, and self-penned, new autobiography, he tells us not only the events of the almost 20 years since his last book – which include his Oscar winning film Cider House Rules, as well as the box-office busting Batman - but also many great eye-opening and entertaining stories from his life and career, shedding light on the real Hollywood and the years he struggled to get there.
With all the charm and wit we know him for, this audiobook is set to become a new classic to rank alongside Niven's Moon's a Balloon.

easy listening.
Engaging enough to listen to at bedtime without the risk of missing much if sleep came before the audible time was up. An enjoyable string of tales charting MCs career.

Sensational!
Michael's narration is fantastic, his voice is full of enthusiasm and warmth, he comes across genuine and humble.
The hidden star of Micheal's story is his Mother, the secret she took to her grave was one of the most admirable things i think I have ever heard, and Michael quite rightly and honourably pays respect to her, times really have changed.
The book is full of stories from various movie legends from both sides of the pond, insights that really are exclusive.
Christmas is also a special time in our house Michael should you happen to read this and it would not be the same without your version of the Muppet's Christmas carol. You was fantastic in that film, it will remain a classic along with Alfie, Educating Rita, The Italian Job and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels to name a few.
Fantastic listen from our finest British actor.

A gentleman in Hollywood
A great insight into the life or one of our most iconic screen legends. Narrated by the man himself, what's not to love?
The best thing? He says genuinely nice things about others without sugar coating and doesn't dish out unnecessary dirt on others. A fascinating insight from a real gentleman. Highly entertaining

Simply wonderful listening
A wonderfully relaxed, open, amusing, generous, irrepressibly entertaining unabridged autobiography. Apart from a bit of name-dropping (mainly of Hollywood power brokers I've never heard of who are long-term friends of the author), this is a breath of fresh air and the best autobiography I've listened to by a long stretch. No wonder it was a sell-out when published in 2010! One of my Top 3 Audible recordings. I've listened to it numerous times and it infallibly cheers me up, intrigues and entertains me - which can't be a bad thing! Superb.
