Summary

Jo Brand tells the story of how she crawled to fame and fortune, managed to persuade someone to marry her and had some children at an age when she should have been in a bath chair on a seafront. In this second volume of her memoirs, Jo recounts wild times on the comedy circuit, the attempts to tart her up for the TV screen, running the marathon, rally driving, her numerous, occasionally extremely inebriated, Edinburgh festival appearances, her 'acting' career and much, much more.

Brilliant but could have been longer

I adore Jo Brand and I have listened to all her books however I felt this could have gone on for another couple of hours.

Not good!

Much as I like Jo Brand I'm afraid she is no raconteur.
Boring!
I struggled to finish even though the content is fairly interesting!

Couldn't Stop Listening, oh, and PANTY LINERs haha

Would you listen to Can't Stand Up For Sitting Down again? Why?

I listened to this in the car on a long journey down south along with the other of Jo's audiobooks on here. I have to say, I enjoyed them both so much and she did make me chuckle as always. Full of interesting anecdotes as her interesting story is told. I love Jo, and her story, narrated beautifully in typical joyous 'Jo' style was a pleasure to listen to. I think she's awesome. I listen to her reading more stuff actually. She just makes me smile. Jo is great and her story is really interesting.

What did you like best about this story?

Jo is great and her story is really interesting.

What does Jo Brand bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I love the way she delivers the story...whilst I could imagine her when reading, it was great to be able to listen in the car and make my journey seem like minutes rather than hours.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

More from Jo please!!

Too short

To short for the money. Waste of cash Iove the book but not enough to to warrant the price

Too short!

Too short! Shame is the abridged version -don't think the original long form exists as an e book unfortunately. Enjoyable however
