Summary

Reece Gilmore has come a long way to see the stunning view below her. As the sole survivor of a brutal crime back East, she has been on the run, desperately fighting the nightmares and panic attacks that haunt her. She settles in Angel's Fist, Wyoming - temporarily, at least - and takes a job at a local diner.

Now she's hiked this mountain all by herself. It was glorious, she thinks, as she peers through her binoculars at the Snake River churning below. And then she sees the man and woman on the opposite bank. Arguing. Fighting. Suddenly, he's on top of her, his hands around her throat....

Enjoying a moment of solitude a bit farther down the trail is a gruff loner named Brody. But by the time Reece reaches him and brings him to the scene, the pair is gone. And when authorities comb the area where she saw the attack, they find nothing - no signs of struggle. No freshly turned earth. Not even a tire track.

No one in Angel's Fist seems to believe Reece. After all, she's a newcomer in town with a reputation for being jumpy and jittery - maybe even a little fragile. Maybe it's time to run again, to move on. But Reece knows there's a killer in Angel's Fist, even if Brody, despite his seeming impatience and desire to keep her at arm's length, is the only one willing to believe her.

When a series of menacing events makes it clear that someone wants her out of the way, Reece must put her trust in Brody - and herself - to find out if there is a killer in Angel's Fist before it's too late.

Terrific

A story of a woman recovering from a terrible event who lands up in a small town but witnesses something which people believe is a result of her traumatic past. A mix of thriller, mystery and romance it held my attention throughout. First rate narration.

A Romance that Surprises

As a dedicated reader of Historical Fiction, Thrillers & Fantasy, I rarely read a Romance Novel! Yet I absolutely loved this delightful story with a great dollop of mystery. The narration is faultless...every character with a distinctively interesting voice.
Loved spending time in a part of America I have not visited perfectly described by a masterful writer. Nora Roberts you have a new fan.

Disappointed

Started off well but not at all what I expected and far too long and meandering getting to the end.
Will not buy another book from this writer.

Good story, narrators a bit old?

the narrator did a good job, but she sounds like she's 40-50 and the character is like 26 so it ruined it for me. it just sounded wrong!? she also did an okay job at men's voices BUT the male protagonist didn't sound right for his personality. he's the broody type and that didn't come across. that's my only issue, I'd still recommend it as it's a good story. it was one of my favourites in my early 20s and I decided to try the audio version now that I'm in my 30s. I prefer the physical book!

Excellent Over and Over again

I have read and listened to this story many times and it is excellent in true Nora Roberts style that leaves you guessing until the end. The performance is great and when i read the book now I read it Joyce's voice. I love Joanie fantastic character.

Brilliant narration, entertaining but very cheesy story

Reviewers here prepared me for a cheesy ride on my first Nora Roberts story & they were right. The plot is pretty good but the story is stretched out too long - and the characters are stereotypes though they’re assembled quite nicely to provide dramatic contrast and help move the plot along. What redeems this audiobook from being sheer cheese is the brilliant voice acting by Joyce Bean which made me want to listen even when all the characters were behaving ludicrously. I probably won’t try another of Nora Roberts’ books but I’ll happily listen again to Joyce Bean.

Angel Falls

This was not an exciting book but it was ok. It started off really slowly but there were some interesting twists towards the end.
