There Must be A Movie Made of this Story

I’ve listened to this book three times and I need to listen again to understand the connection between the characters. I loved it!

The sorrow of life

I liked Khalid's emphasis on culture and the human condition such as love, caring, pain and emdurance. At times it was difficult to follow the story line

Great story, but a little unfocused

excellent writing style, as expected from Khaled, the story is a bit unfocused for my taste but still great.
I suggest focusing on one narrator rather than 3, since it takes time to adjust hearing one.

Simply beautiful

I love Khaled Hosseini’s writing. His books are always beautifully written and so authentic. The narration is just gorgeous. Absolutely loved this tale of love, loss, and determination in the face of adversity

Beautiful and moving.

A beautiful, mesmerising book. The characters weave through decades of love, loss and secrets set against the tragedy and hardship of modern Afghanistan. All the more moving knowing the current situation there. Highly recommended.

Beautiful story

one of the narrators has an annoying accent and at times difficult to understand. Would have been nicer if said narrator was at least Afghan so as to give the story line more authenticity but instead just made his sections a hard listen. Story itself is as usual KH standard... amazing.

Boring and underwhelming as a Hosseini book

Khaled Hosseini is such a talented author, loved his other books but this book lacked the same quality and depth of his other books. The storylines though interlocked with one another lacked enough development to actually get into the characters. If Hosseini had focused on 1 or 2 plots and developed them it would’ve made this much better.
