Summary
When an earthquake flattens New York City, the devastation is phenomenal and loss of life beyond comprehension. The world is in shock.
More than that, it is the first sign.
Only the chosen few can see it.
A firefighter, newspaperman, thief, engineer, bride, and a priest are all strangers across the country and are all thrown together. All of them believe it is the beginning of the end. Together they work diligently to try to save humanity and stop the inevitable.
But is it already too late?
For thousands of years it has been predicted. The prophesy has begun.
The mountains will crumble…and the Heavens shall fall.
The end is here.

Enjoyable story but truly dreadful editing
A clever story and the narrator was nice to listen to but the editing was truly dreadful . Bits of the story were missing , tapping sounds , it just spoilt it completely the last 6 hours were missing chunks of the story . Come on audible get your act together! You really shouldn't be charging for unedited and unchecked books !

Brilliant !
I love this author so when I saw this was a mega long book , I was super excited. I thought the whole concept was brilliant. I’m not religious , I’m more of a disaster , apocalyptic reader but this story blended the two into a really intense read.
I really cared about the characters by the end and was constantly trying to guess who was what and how it was going to end.
The narrator did a great job. I giggled a bit initially at his female voices but soon got used it and I love that most of his male voices had a New York accent !
He brought the story to life well enough that I was totally engrossed.
I’m so sad to have just finished it ! Like saying goodbye to friends

buyer beware book is not a completed edit
A really good, entralling story BUT chapters, words and sentances are missing. The editors click cues and vocal cues are still in the draft. I loved the story but towards the end so much is missing it suddenly jumps mid sentance to another chapter completely missing whole chunks of story.
