Summary
The summer bestseller from the immensely popular Lindsey Kelk
Tess Brookes has always been a Girl with a Plan. But when the Plan goes belly up, she’s forced to reconsider.
After accidently answering her flatmate Vanessa’s phone, she decides that since being Tess isn’t going so well, she might try being Vanessa. With nothing left to lose, she accepts Vanessa’s photography assignment to Hawaii – she used to be an amateur snapper, how hard can it be? Right?
But Tess is soon in big trouble. And the gorgeous journalist on the shoot with her, who is making it very clear he’d like to get into her pants, is an egotistical monster. Far from home and in someone else’s shoes, Tess must decide whether to fight on through, or ‘fess up and run…

Squeaky narration
Difficult at first to get past the very loud, squeaky, screechy narration on some of the characters . But after getting used to it and ignoring it , the story was good and I have now bought the next two in the series . Persevere with the narration of you can !

It was ok
Ithis book is a good read and it has a good balanced ending and it was entertaining but not her best work. There too much alcohol and throwing up involved and that put me off. The story has an underlying theme of empowerment and taking control of your life when it is spiralling. Funny at times.

Female voices were horrendous
I rarely write a review and never a negative one, but I really struggle with this book. The narrator (which I think is a terribly difficult job) was just off the mark for all the characters, I have thankfully never met a man or woman who speaks like the narrator, the best friends voice got so high at some points that I’m sure I could hear dogs crying. The story was fine if a bit weak, but the narration gave me a headache by the end of it. I have enjoyed other books by this author, so I think maybe this one just wasn’t for me.
