Summary
A new time-travel thriller from Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Amazon and Audible best-selling author R. R. Haywood. Creator of the smash-hit time-travel series Extracted and the UK’s number one horror series The Undead.
A man falls from the sky. He has no memory. He has no sense of self. What lies ahead are a series of tests, each more brutal than the last, and if he gets through them all, he might just reach a town called Discovery.

Absolutely brilliant as usual.
I’ve just finished this and again Richard has played a blinder. The story is very good and the action set pieces are really cool. But it’s in the dialogue where Mr Haywood truly excels I genuinely laughed out load while listening to this. Overall another excellent story from the prolific RR Heywood. Anyone who’s listened to the extracted series will recognise Carl Precop and seeing as this is a book with the central premise of time travel it feels very familiar, Carl’s narration is as good here as it was in extracted.

Bear with it
I bought this book in the Audible sale, not really knowing what it was about. Not knowing where the book was going I thought about giving up.
I stuck it out and glad that I did. I really enjoyed the action, dark humour, characters and the story as a whole. Something very different from my normal audio books, but brilliant.

Slow start.... Excellent finish
This was really tough to get into, but once the story unfold, the story is fantastic.
It does, however, require a sequel, because in the excellent world-building a lot of questions was still left unanswered.

Can RR Haywood write bad?
I absolutely loved this book. It reminds me a bit of Extracted but on a very different level. I do hope this is only the beginning of a very long series!

Adjustment Bureau....but with teeth.
Pure escapism, don't try and argue or make sense of it all either. Enjoy the ride

Carl Prekopp breaths life into another Haywood
The Extracted trilogy are my favourite, so you'll recognise the characters in this. The story is weaker with less plot development - more a story for sheer enjoyment....
Carl Prekopp is superb as usual, his range of characters really brings everyone to life. And Haywood makes this so funny in parts, I was weeping with laughter. Fast paced, interesting, exciting, humorous. Well worth listening to. Excited for the rest. Tried his last book about the space craft but hated the narration. Prekopp and Haywood are a marriage made in heaven!

To much like extracted
This was so like the extracted trilogy I was almost expecting the same characters to make an entrance. You could compare every character to one in extracted and because it as the same narrator the voices were the same too’ the first couple of hours was just about Bear & Roshe killing each-other. Got a bit boring. Time travel, murder all the same as extracted which I absolutely adored. Can’t understand why R R Haywood didn’t just do another instalment of extracted??? It works have made more sense. I love this author he’s books are amazing, Im constantly waiting for the he’s next book from series or another but I found this one a bit boring. However I will buy the next book in this series too’ I won’t be able to resist it.
Amazing author’ amazing narration. But this one was lacking.

I read this book on kindle first then listened to it after. Amazing book, can’t believe it was just lying around.
One slight negative was the way the narrator did Roche’s voice it was a bit creepy, know what I mean sugar plum?

If you liked Extracted - don't hesitate
R.R. Haywood knocks it out of the park again with A town called Discovery.
I deliberated for a while around purchasing this and I'm so glad I eventually did. The story was so intriguing from the very beginning and immediately left me thinking "Where on earth is this going?". I'm not going to go into details around the story itself but the pace, the content, characters and progression were spot on. As usual, Carl Prekopp narrated fabulously and gave the characters and content the justice deserved.
I just want more please....the teaser at the end suggests a sequel but to be honest, this could run as a series and also attract fan writers.
Superb!
