Summary
If you like clean and funny cozy mysteries by authors such as Hope Callaghan, AR Winters, Ivy Dawson, Cee Cee James, and others, then you will love Patricia Fisher!
As the Aurelia nears Athens, a new member of the crew is found dead in his cabin. Next to a gun and slumped over a suicide note, it appears tragic but unsuspicious. However, he’s the captain’s nephew Julian, onboard for only six days, and something about the suicide note makes Patricia’s nose twitch.
With disobedient dog Anna, loyal butler Jermaine, and all her friends in support, your favorite amateur sleuth soon uncovers a web of lies and deceit in the bursary. There’s a mystery to solve, alright, but a second body muddies the water.
Is there more than one killer? Had Julian uncovered something that made him a target?
In her toughest challenge yet, it will be her dachshund that provides the vital clue, but can Patricia solve the case before the killer escapes?
This series of books follows Patricia Fisher, a 50-something woman from England, as she flees her unfulfilling marriage and becomes the person she always should have been. They are light-hearted, fast-paced, and unlike any other cozy mysteries you have ever listened to. There is no bad language, sex, or graphic descriptions of violence.

Loved it.
This is the first book I've listened or read to with the slueth Patricia Fisher. I must say I listened to it all in a day. After the first hour I thought she had the murder all tied up and wondered what was going to happen in the rest of the story. But I was wrong. This was a really good, well thought out murder mystery. Patricia is on a cruise liner. She's left her husband and is now dating the captain of the ship. With her dashaund Anna in tow and her loyal butler, Patricia Fisher is not your average lady and she has a head for solving murders. The Captains nephew hasn't been on the ship long, he's been working for the Bursar. But when he's found dead and it looks like a suicide but it becomes apparent that it's murder, Patricia gets on the case. With the backdrop of Greece it's a great story that makes me wish I Was on a cruise. A really enjoyable book. Narrated brilliantly too, I have a thing where I don't always like how female or male narrators do voices of the opposite sex. But this narrator was fab. I received a copy of this audible book from the author Steve Higgs. But the views are my own. I have read Blue moon paranormal investigations by Steve Higgs and those book are fab too. This is my first Patricia Fisher book but it won't be the last.

Light-hearted fun
Review of audiobook. Mystery, action and humour, Patricia Fisher mysteries have it all. They are a little far-fetched and the plot twists are predictable, but these books are so much fun. This is the second Patricia Fisher book I have listened to. Although this was a different narrator to book 7, I thought Deryn Oliver did a fantastic job.

Fabulous books
Really love this series of books and listened to them all so far.
My only small niggle - I wish they would stop changing the narrators. They are all good but change the accents and voices of the characters just as you are getting to know them. Especially this book.
Narrator is good but different and it gets confusing.
Brilliant books though and great to listen to.

Patricia and her friends on board the cruise ship are wonderfully fun. While on board they find themselves solving the murder of the Captain's nephew . A book full of fun, intriguing and full of action and suspense
