interesting story touching on loss, and love

enjoyable story to listen to by a good author, a couple meeting and finding a connection, tragedy in the past nearly ruining things but love conquors in the end, i liked it.

NOT A FLUFFY CHRISTMAS STORY

I enjoyed listening to the good bits of the novel but it was depressing which is made worse because it is set at Christmastime.

My husband and I went to Paris, at the beginning of our relationship ❤ for a romantic weekend but we did not think it was great, it seemed filthy dirty!

When you think of Christmas we normally think of happiness unless you have watched the film "It's a wonderful life" which I personally think is awfully depressing. Yet I like the Christmas Film 'Die Hard' 😂

I liked that the writing was good, Mandy Baggot has obviously done her research into organ donation and kidney transplants.

The narrator Emma Powell always has a series voice and she did her job well voicing all the different characters.

If you suffer from depression, are a 'Sensitive' empathetic person like myself, OR just don't like anything sad and depressing then I would not recommend that you listen to this book.

I'm lucky to have not used a credit on this book as it was FREE to listen too through the Plus Catalogue included membership 🌠

It’s a wonderful life...

I only made it halfway through this book. I’m sure it was just as good as last year’s Christmas book by Mandy but I couldn’t face it this year. It’s so depressing!

If you’re of a sensitive disposition this Christmas, as so many of us in lockdown may well be I’d avoid this book. Buy it next year when things are a little more rosey and the thought of injuries, transplants, terminal illnesses and all the drama that goes with them are easier to handle. I know I will.
