Summary

The long-awaited finale to the #1 New York Times bestselling Once Upon a Broken Heart trilogy.

Two villains, one girl, and a deadly battle for happily ever after.

Evangeline Fox ventured to the Magnificent North in search of her happy ending, and it seems as if she has it. She's married to a handsome prince and lives in a legendary castle. But Evangeline has no idea of the devastating price she's paid for this fairytale. She doesn't know what she has lost, and her husband is determined to make sure she never finds out . . . but first he must kill Jacks, the Prince of Hearts.

Blood will be shed, hearts will be stolen, and true love will be put to the test in A Curse for True Love, the breathlessly anticipated conclusion to the Once Upon A Broken Heart trilogy.

Woooo!

I’m glad I got to hear how this story ended. It also wrapped up some threads about Jacks and Tella which I appreciated.

But, I hope there is a next series to say what will happen for Lala and Chaos!?

Cute but meh

Two thirds of the book nothing happens and the final third of the book, to much happens. It’s all a bit underwhelming.
Not a fan of amnesia driven story, it’s just repetitive after while … and most of this book the protagonist was left in that state. 🙄 it just negates all the character development and pauses the story .

Still it was a somewhat enjoyable conclusion to the series.

Perfection, like all this serie

I am so happy and at the same time so sad for this last chapter of Eva and Jacks story.
This book was truly stunning like the previous two and I was so happy to finally have a glimpse into Jacks mind 😍
Jacks remains one of my favourite characters ever and I love him so much.

A bit of a shame.

I enjoyed it, but not much really happened. There's not the same character depth as in the other books or the same story. Just a lot of hanging around till Eva gets her memories back - which was done in a really underwhelming way. There's some really odd bits of audio - as if some lines have been re-recorded but using different equipment and then patched over - which is distracting. It's a disappointing end to an otherwise good series. The epilogue felt like complete cop-out as well.

Male narrator wasn’t needed

Everyone loves a happily ever after, just wish the end of the book had been a bit more mushy lol 😜

Underwhelming

I’m not say in I find like the final book, but I found my self underwhelmed. It just didn’t have enough emotion or action it all felt a little flat. Worse still I’d guessed all the plot twists before they happened so it didn’t feel epic as the other books had.

Low audio quality

The storyline was to be expected considering how the previous two books were written, so I like that the author has continued the same writing pattern. I would have given it a higher rating, however, the double actor audio was fine but there were stages in the audio where the volume suddenly got higher and further away, which through me off kilter and made the experience unpleasant and really brought down the quality of the story for me.

Love this series

A very lovely and exciting love story. Definitely worth a listen.
Just wish they hadn’t added the male voice to the last book.
