Super interesting

A Journey of Influence and Innovation
I enjoyed this book as there is so much rich history around banking. The book does a great job of shedding light on its pivotal role in shaping the global economy from ancient times to the digital age. Chapter 3 explores the transition from the gold standards to digital currencies and was particularly eye-opening. It reviews how digital currencies are revolutionizing the financial system, challenging traditional norms, and offering new possibilities for the future of finance. In a time when cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin are gaining prominence, this chapter provides essential insights into the ongoing financial transformation.
Chapter 6 was also one of my favorites as it explores the dark sides of central banking and dispels myths and legends surrounding these institutions. The chapter unravels the truth behind common misconceptions, allowing readers to separate fact from fiction.
This book was able to deliver complex information into a concise and accessible manner which is great. I enjoy listening to books like this while I work as it helps my day go faster and I can learn quite a bit.

A FULL PACKAGED GUIDE! VERY HELPFUL
This book was immensely educational to read, in my opinion. It provides a thorough examination of central banking's development, history, and function in the global economy. The book describes the significant events, difficulties, and innovations that helped in the growth of banking across time. It bridges the knowledge gap between difficult-to-understand financial concepts. The author, an expert in the subject, skillfully leads readers through central banking's historical journey, from its ancient roots to its modern issues. It also improved my understanding of how to move forward. Knowledge is power, and understanding more about the financial system—at least in the Western world—is essential in these times of economic uncertainty.

Interesting history about central banking
Thinking of huge impact that a central bank such as Federal Reserve in US has in the economy national wide even in world economy, I have always been curious about central banking history. This audiobook is very informative and yet very interesting to listening to. This audiobok not only tells about histroy itself but also mentioned about future of contral banking and dark side of central banking we never thought about because we tend to take central banking system for granted. I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook.

Insightful
This book is a great guide about banking's history and how it works. The author, who's an expert, takes us on a trip from the old days of banking to its modern challenges. He talks about the tough times during the Great Depression and how the Central Bank played a key role in helping us by making banks ensure our money. Before reading this, I didn't know how important banks were in getting us through the Great Depression. It's a cool read, especially for those wanting to understand money better and plan for their family's future.

So interesting
I found this audiobook to be super interesting! If you have ever wondered about money and the economy and its progression to what it is today then this is the book for you. Fascinating to see the evolution of central banking laid out. My favorite favorite thing to learn about was the conspiracy theories.

interesting take on Central Banking
This is a fairly general overall look at Central Banking around the world. It touches on general theory, as well as specific banks in different parts of the world and specific events in world history. It is a good introduction and provokes intrigue for further research. Not sure I agree with chp 6 on the Dark Side of Central Banking as described here... history will show us. Thanks for an informative listen, with several juicy tidbits to share at cocktail parties!

So much knowledge at your fingertips!
Wow. Before I came across this highly informative listen, I had never thought much about our central banking system, its history, and the impact of it on our modern society. This book was super interesting and opened my eyes to this reality and also shed some clarity on where we are headed with all these changes happening e.g. crypto currencies.
