Summary

A Great listern
I loved listening to this book. I thought it well written and leaving me wanting to know more. I loved Mia and Mason from the start.
Quiet divorcee Mia has no idea what lies ahead as she starts her relationship with Mason. After leaving prison for a crime he committed ten years earlier, Mason is determined to keep within the conditions of his parole, but his past eventually catches up with them.

A well-written, steamy romance
This is the second book I've read by Amber Daulton and it is actually the first book in the Arresting Onyx series. This is a series of romance thrillers involving characters that are interconnected and affecting the Onyx crime organisation.
Arresting Mason follows Mia and Mason. Mia is a young woman of twenty-eight and a boutique business owner who nearly runs down Mason right at the start. The chemistry between the two is evident and they start dating. However, Mason, an ex-con on his way to see his parole officer has his past life intervene and affect their relationship.
The sex scenes are steamy and well written and constructed. I like that the author gets into the feelings of the characters as well as describing the acts themselves. The drama is well handled and comes to a satisfying conclusion.
Once minor gripe I had is that the book had too many conveniences for the sake of drama and they were telegraphed as well which meant that suspense was lacking. For example, the Parole officer!
Overall, a fantastic read and I highly recommend it.
