His reading wasn’t that good

Although the facts were great the quality and performance of the reading was terrible, especially in the pitcher plant chapter where he kept repeating lines and there was a lot of background noises.

Loads of fascinating facts on nature,

I really loved this book, devouring it in just one listening. I was pretty sure it would be good as I follow Gary Meaney on Quora and I'm familiar with his terrific writing there. But this book truly exceeded my expectations. It is full to the brim of interesting facts from the wonderful to the bizarre, and is peppered with Gary's light humor. Every chapter has something of interest, even to me who knows little about nature in general. He narrates the book himself and comes across very well (really enjoyed his accent and enthusiasm).

I'm off now to buy a physical copy - the audiobook doesn't require photos but it is a very visual book so would love to see the photos too.
