Enjoy it for what it is!
I’ve listened to every Jack reacher book. I have very much enjoyed them and pre-ordered this one. It’s easy listening and the narration/performances are consistent and good. Anyone who has read every book will know that the narration is fitting for the characters. But….there’s a but….. I haven’t enjoyed the last two books as much as the others and I’m not sure why: perhaps it’s because i like wandering reacher, perhaps it’s reacher fatigue, perhaps it’s because I guessed the ending half way through, so it was predictable this time….I really can’t put my finger on it. But, my point is that the fault, if there is any, may be with my expectations and not the book itself.
Ultimately I enjoyed it enough so that I will continue to pre-order!
Enjoy it for it is.

A good Jack Reacher story
The narrator is now synonymous with Reacher and he reads these stories brilliantly. The story itself was good, although it took a little while to get going- but that might be because I like the post- military stories more.

the secret
Not enamoured of this book, and I have all the Reacher audio books. Jeff Harding is an amazing narrator, but even his dulcet tones couldn't keep me engrossed. Just didn't do it for me.

Good story, terrible narration
Couldn’t finish listening due to the way it’s been narrated - he reads every sentence exactly the same, like a statement, really annoying after a while! Wish I hadn’t wasted a credit on this, that’ll teach me to sample books/listens from now on.

Interesting prequel
I did enjoy this book although not the best of the series by a long way.
There is a glaring continuity error that I found very disappointing but that aside this was an entertaining listen.

Worst narration I have ever experienced
The story is fine. Full of twists if perhaps less Reacher:heavy than usual. But the narration is abysmal. Short sentences all with the voice going up at the end. Nobody speaks like that
