The author falls on many cliches and as a result or example the characterisation of the strong female lead is tired, old fashioned and predictable

OK at best
Lots of cringeworthy exchanges making the main character a bit annoying. Story line fairly predictable. Narrators attempt at accents also quite cringy. It was ok-ish, I guess.

So predictable is cringeworthy
I want to start with a positive I really like the authors writing style & use of vocabulary she has an excellent range & has potential to write an excellent story. Unfortunately this one from the first chapter was so predictable very cheesy at points it made it cringeworthy to read.. Just made the book unenjoyable where it was so predictable I feel there is no point listening to to the rest where I already know what will happen but I shall never the less as the writing style makes it bearable.

Thrilling storyline
Really good listen lots of twists and turns. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely be looking for more titles from this author.
