Deep insight into how a crime is solved.
The second book by this author. If your interested in real crime, how the police and justice system really works in the UK and the truth about the wretched crimes that people commit this is certainly for you.
This must have been such a harrowing case to work. Going into an investigation that had already been running for well over a decade with no sign of a suspect let alone a resolution must have been incredibly daunting. Enter our protagonist, add some old school policing and what you have is a really interesting study of real crimes, the sickness that drives them and how these amazing professionals solve them.

The Nightstalker
Of all the bios I’ve listened to recently this has been about the worst monster who preyed on mostly pensioners, some of the most fragile members within our society. Imagine being in your 80’s, repeatedly raped and you have dementia… doesn’t bare thinking about. Sadly some of his victims didn’t live to see justice served.
Again the police do the best they can and at the end many were burnt out and who can blame them….dealing with monsters like this.
Well read and well written.

Hard listen but incredibly worthwhile.
Superbly read and described in intricate detail about the whole intriguing list of events that lead to the protracted and eventual capture of the culprit.
Lots of insights into missed opportunities and culture of the Met which was very interesting but disturbing that the crimes went on for so long.

A very thorough investigation.
What I liked about this book is like the previous manhunt book it’s written by the murder detective Colin Sutton.
I felt that Colin doesn’t leave any stone unturned and goes into the detail of the crimes, wishing at times he didn’t, but ultimately doing this gives you all the facts, however hard and tough they are to listen to, and helps you understand how twisted and messed up Delroy Grant was.
Like the previous Manhunt book Colin does make you feel and understand how the detectives must have felt as day after day little results are found as more and more offences are reported.
The book really did demonstrate like in the previous book that good old fashioned police work always delivers in the end.
I would read this again and would highly recommend the ITV manhunt series, which is an excellent accompaniment to the book.

Excellent
After reading Sutton's first book about Levi Bellfield, I was looking forward to this one releasing and it did not disappoint. Detailed, without getting boring or monotonous, Sutton takes you through, step by step how he caught this truly aweful predator, and how he nearly got away!
