Summary

A summer wedding....

An eccentric aunt....

What can possibly go wrong?

Libby's instincts tell her there's something amiss in the picturesque villages, small towns, and rural farms of Exmoor. Then, people begin to disappear....

She's joined forces with on-off partner Max in a private investigation business, but she's getting cold feet about the idea of marriage. After all, it's taken plenty of hard work to regain her independence after her husband's death.

Meanwhile, a sinister new acquaintance sends shivers down her spine....

If you love British murder mysteries, join Libby, her faithful sheepdog, and the other quirky characters of Exham on Sea as she investigates the death of a wedding guest.

The narrator lets the story down

It’s such a shame that the author is being let down by the narrator book after book the accents are horrible

Enjoyable but...

I liked the storyline, the characters and their exchanges. I'm getting used to the narrator although I wish the change of tone/voice could be a bit more distinctive between each character. I did find that the conclusion to the story seemed a bit rushed though. There could have been a bit more suspense in chapter 20 and flowing into chapter 21. But I still enjoyed it nonetheless.

Story line

Author needs to find another narrator!!! Unbelievably boring with no tonality!! Couldn’t tell which character she was reading as they all sounded the same and with very little expression.

I have really enjoyed the previous audio books in this series, but the narrator on this one is awful. so much so that after 1 chapter, I am not listening anymore. such a shame as I was enjoying the series

Couldn't get into it at all

I think a different narrator would have been better.. Perhaps a male voice? Noty good
