A must read for all genders
I purchased this book when it was on pre-order . I arrived and I read it so quickly ! I purchased three more books for friends that where going through break ups. I then decided to purchase the audiobook so I could take in all of the information again. It's changed my life , and I know I will be re-reading the book and listening to the audiobook again and again .
Florence narrates the book beautifully and makes you feel like she's talking directly to you . If you purchase the audiobook and enjoy it , I really recommend purchasing the hard copy so you can enjoy all the beautiful artwork in it.
This book isn't just about feminism - it covers racism , ableism, LBGTQ+ , privilege , the importance of setting boundaries...I could go on forever!
This is a much needed book for anyone who wants to grow and start taking care of their goddamn selves !

I read this because my 15 year old daughter is about to read it and I wanted to gage some perspective.
I think this is an excellent book for empowering the league of young girls entering into this time in life it talks about the importance of loving yourself. and I would have loved this insight when I was 20.
At times I think it can be a little too single-minded but that is the prerogative of the writer and I accept it, it's just my view. this book can sometimes come across as quite angry and not fully representative, a lot of women are mothers, I am a mother of daughters and I felt a bit left out. but I also recognise that this isn't a book about motherhood...but it is a book about sisterhood I guess.
I did find that on a few occasions the writer contradicts herself but I guess that's ok just detail I noticed.
I look forward to hearing Florence's version of this book when she's 30 plus.
I do think everyone should read this, it is an eye opener and a reminder. I'm happy that my daughter is reading this!

I wish I read this book years ago!
A brutally honest and critical discussion of the current state of being a human in a man’s world.
At first I rolled my eyes a bit and thought “here we go again, the angry feminist” until I understood where this comment in my head came from!
I listened to the book again after the first time- and blimey- that hit hard!
It’s uncomfortable but so necessary to read/ listen to/ discuss- thank you Florence Given for this book, I really needed to hear all of it.

I admire what she is trying to do but not a great book unfortunately.
I like Florence and think she does have some good points, but she waffles a lot and seems to repeat the same ideas.
Stopped reading 3/4 of the way through as I was a bit fed up with it.
