Summary
The last time witchy car mechanic Victoria Fox did magic, she nearly blew up half a street. Oops. No more magic for her, but is a witch who doesn’t do magic still a witch?
Well, she does have a kitty familiar named Professor Studmuffin Salvitore III. She also has a knack for inviting magical trouble to her shop’s doorstep.
Like her business rival who shows up and offers her a deal. A tempting deal, but she shuts the door in his face anyway. Moments later, his star employee drops dead.
All roads lead to Victoria as the murderer. The problem? She didn’t do it. The other problem? Almost no one believes her.
It’s now up to her and her kitty familiar to prove she’s innocent. Tiptoeing closer to the truth could put them both in danger though. And it might just take a lead paw on the gas pedal to get them out.

Very entertaining
I was a but dubious about this audio book box set as although I love cosy mysteries I am not a huge fan of 'witchy' ones, but I was in need of a lighthearted listen and had this in my library so I decided to give it a go.
I was quite surprised that once I had got into the story, I really enjoyed it and actually felt a bit frustrated every time I had to stop listening to it. The characters are very well written and great fun.
The first and third books were my favourites, I found the middle one a bit too far-fetched for my taste, but it was still good to follow the characters' development. I also liked the narration, which for me fitted the story very well indeed.
An enjoyable listen and ideal for anyone who is a fan of witchy cosies.

A quirky, funny mystery
Victoria Fox has ignored her witchy abelites for a long time, but now she is suspected of murder it's time to dust of her Grimoire and start learning again. With the help of Professor Studmuffin Salvitore III her familiar. These three stories have a great blend of humor, danger and mystery. A great listen with excellent narration.
I look forward to reding and listening to more books by Maddy Savana.

Good cosy murder mystery with endearing characters
This 3-books bundle was enjoyable to listen to and I liked the introduction and consequent growth of the panel of characters present in the book. A good read for any lover of witchy cosy mysteries.

Is a witch that doesn't do magic still a witch
I enjoyed this book and what a great way for the adventure to continue than by getting there books in one, especially as the stories continue on from each other and even give a hint of what to expect in the next. I just loved the quirky characters, especially the cat Studmuffin, who with his witch cake baking skills, ninja poses and disappearing act is a hoot. The job for the main character is a refreshing change, although with all the investigating and trying to understand her powers she was to busy to do much work. The mysteries were unusual too.
Vrooms, Brooms, & Heirlooms (book 1)
This was a nice introduction to the characters and gives you an idea of the fun the series is going to be like.
When a car mechanic working for a rival garage is murder Vic becomes the number one suspect, especially as she was the one to find the body. Can she clear her name before she is arrested? With her family history with the garage and it's owner, it will take all her skill to prove her innocence.
Hisses, Hearses, & Curses (book 2)
This was the most unusual story with all the witches except are heroine getting turned into rats while she tries to work out who killed Ray Ray, all in three days of the witches stay that way. I am still not sure on the motive for the murder and might have to listen to this one again but it was a lot of fun.
Purrs, Chauffeurs, & Saboteurs (book 3)
This was my least favourite because it involved time travelling and just gets confusing with who everybody is leaving Vic clues. I had no idea who the killer was in this one and was surprised with the twist. When Vic father suddenly turns up she becomes in a murder investigation and a time loop when his chauffeur is killed .
I liked the narrator. She did some fun voices to bring the characters to life.

Witchy Detective Series
3 story bundle and each one kept me engaged. Really lovely characters and well written so much that I didn't guess who the perpetrator was in any of them. Definitely worth a listen.
