Summary
Roberto Cherchi è stato condannato all'ergastolo per quattro omicidi ed è ricercato dalle forze dell'ordine. Quando, durante la sua latitanza, scopre che l'avvocato Antonella Demelas è in coma in seguito a un agguato, decide di trovare il responsabile. Un sentimento di profonda gratitudine, infatti, lega il fuggiasco alla donna e il desiderio di vendetta è più forte di qualunque rischio. Ma Cherchi sa che non può farcela da solo. Si rivolge così a Barore Cannas di Mamoiada, un anziano allevatore che controlla il territorio tra il Nuorese e l'Ogliastra. In cambio del suo aiuto, Barore chiede a Cherchi di mettersi sulle tracce di alcuni rapitori che, sequestrando il figlio di un imprenditore milanese senza il suo permesso, lo hanno offeso profondamente. Inizia così una caccia all'uomo in cui Roberto Cherchi dovrà sfruttare il suo fiuto animalesco, affinato da anni di latitanza tra i boschi, per trovare i rapitori, sfuggire alla polizia e farsi finalmente giustizia.
