Summary
Global box office sensation Ruby Locke is a long way from her Yorkshire roots. Together with her fiancé, movie heartthrob Tyler Harrison, they are Hollywood’s new glitterati.
Overnight, however, Ruby’s life implodes when her social media accounts are hacked with a multitude of vile posts, turning her into an international pariah. Even Tyler breaks off their engagement.
Confused and heartbroken, Ruby escapes to the beautiful island of Sicily to avoid the media scrutiny and clear her name. With only a Yorkshire terrier to comfort her, Ruby is befriended by a handsome neighbour and slowly begins to heal.
But who is this mysterious man, and what are his intentions?
When her Sicilian hideaway is compromised, Ruby is once again forced to relocate, this time to the stunning Isle of Skye.
In the tranquil cove of Glentorrin, Ruby is left questioning not only who wants to destroy her career, and why, but also if celebrity lifestyle is really for her....

Warming
I did find it a bit slow at first but the story did get you engaged and wanting to know what happened in the end. Enjoyed it very much.

Another great listen, but
Another great story in this series, but the long pauses between sentences drove me mad.

Fabulous narrator and important message!
I love Elidih Beaton as a narrator, she always makes the book really come to life. Her accents make it clear who is speaking, and she is so easy to listen to.
The story itself was very enjoyable. I really felt like I knew the characters and locations as they were so well described. The main character did really frustrate me at times though, as she struggled to communicate sometimes and was very harsh to Mitch at times even though he welcomed her into his life and homes without question. The message that carried throughout the book about social media and the press I feel is an extremely important one, and it is cleverly done in the story.
Note: this is the second book of a series of four, which I didn’t see mentioned anywhere. The first explores Jules and Reid’s story. I accidentally listened to the last two books first, which spoilt some of the elements of the stories in the first two.

excellent summer read. brilliantly narrated
i loved this book i couldnt stop listening. It's a light hearted rom com, with some twists and turns but the characters are so easy to like. I thoroughly enjoyed this book i wish there was a sequel.

Heartwarming
Love the way the series interlink. I had to read them all twice, as I missed the characters!
It also deals with loss, grief, mental health, self love, romance, friendship and unhealthy toxic behaviour and that loses out to respect, morals and values. As for Eilidh Beaton, perfect and could listen to her forever. Thanks

loved it
This is a lovely escapism read/listen
an enjoyable well written story and excellently narrated in my opinion
its about the trials and stress of being targeted by the press and social media for something you didn't do and not knowing who you can trust, plus a romcom and I thoroughly enjoyed it, there are another 2 books in this skye series I gather so I'm off to get those now

Under a Sicilian Sky
A lovely story beautifully written and wonderfully read. The perfect combination. It makes you want to be there, be part of something that you know isn’t real but because of the combination your mind makes it out to be. My only regret is that it’s over-more to come later-hopefully!
