Recommended

This is possibly the best fiction I have read in some time. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole tale, but particularly liked how the author allows each individual to tell their own story. Also, I was worried that multiple narrators would be a distraction, but they all came together very well.
It probably isn't for you if you like a heavyweight tome, but it was on the button for me.

Entertaining

Definitely worth a listen - even if some of the story is a bit predictable. A new voice to follow and a good twist at the end. It kept me entertained and I wanted to know what happened. The multi-voice reading is excellent.

Great story and narration

Excellent characters, great narration and great story. A thriller that isn’t obvious. Would recommend and would listen again.

try to guess!

I purchased this book after finishing 'the guest list' by the same author. Pleasantly surprised that this title was even. I love the POV style, the varying insight into multiple characters experiencing the same events but having completely different insights into situations. I also love the slow burn, the build up and of course, trying to guess as more and more snippets of information get revealed. Happy to say that with this title, unlike the guest book - I failed to guess correctly many of the reveals.. I got some, but others took me by surprise. The author does a great job in putting us (the readers) right there in that wilderness with this people. If you enjoy a mystery, a 'who dunnit' in a modern setting involving characters who you will feel like you know in your real life then this book is for you.

I should also mention the cast - fantastic performances all round.

Another wonderful murder mystery from Lucy Foley.

An exciting mystery with brilliant characters depicted by wonderful actors. Brilliant storyline; most of the characters had good reason to commit a murder and Lucy Foley kept me thinking and puzzling all the way through...and ,as usual, the story came to a brilliant ending! Would highly recommend this book.

An excellent listen

What an excellent surprise this book was. I bought it as a daily deal, without expecting too much from it. That’ll teach me! It was an unusually plotted book with amazing characters, delivered so convincingly by the excellent cast. The story unfolds gradually between then and now, with each participants part in their relationship and the crime eventually becoming clear. It’s difficult to say more without indulging in spoilers. It was well worth the full price of a credit, but I was fortunate enough to get it at a bargain price. I’d highly recommend it all!

weak ending

Great start, great concept but rather much a "and then I woke up" ending, sadly.
