Summary

Tonight, Osmond Box, the reclusive yet wildly successful writer/director known for his completely surprising Broadway plays, is debuting his seventh and most highly anticipated production of his career: The Guilty. Nothing is known about the story, the setting, the premise, or even the actors involved. The first people to discover the truth will be the lucky ones sitting in those seats opening night. Phones are collected; doors are locked. The rest of the world eagerly awaits the first reviews....

Two hours later, when the doors are finally allowed to open, half of the audience will be applauding wildly. The other half will be fleeing the theater in mortal terror. Has Osmond Box done it again? Or has he done something far, far worse?

Please note: Portions of this show contain mature language and themes. Listener discretion is advised.

Brilliant

A great story, brilliantly performed, and with this stellar cast, that’s no surprise.
The story got a little hammy towards the end, but otherwise was riveting. Highly recommended

Really enjoyable

Brilliantly performed. Unpredictable. Just wrapped up too quickly. But really great for a freebie. Thanks

Great concept, well performed

Premise: Is the audience watching a play, or witnessing a maniacal playwright manipulating his cast into real-life mortal danger?

This was a fabulous listen, adding a new twist to the locked-room mystery genre. Great performances (impossible not to be otherwise with John Lithgow in the cast) and, good sound design too, as the scenes in the theatre really sounded authentic- that slightly echoey, projected voice vibe. Very enjoyable.

Get Out

Loved it. Not really sure if what's happening is real or staged. Great casting with John Lithgow.

Unusual and worth a listen

This was quite the experiment in format. It seemed to struggle to settle on a tone and the switch between melodrama etc… was sometimes jarring but did add to keeping the listener slightly uncomfortable. The music was very annoying and although it has a strong plot point it kept drawing the ear away from the action which somewhat shot itself in the foot. Performances were great. Plot very interesting and it’s worth mentioning the amazing job the sound team did given some of this was recorded in cast’s homes.
It’s been given a mixed set of reviews and this is no different but press on and it falls into place.

Interesting Premise

I have always enjoyed full cast audio productions and this was no different. The performances of Mr Lithgow, Ms Howard and Mr Gallagher were of course outstanding, as were all the cast. The whole premise of the story was interesting, and I would definitely recommend it.
