Summary

The epic new thriller from the number one best-selling queen of gangland crime!

Kenny Bond. A murderer. A gangster. A good family man.

Meet the Bonds.

Kenny Bond is finally out of prison after doing a long stretch for killing a copper and is determined to get back to life on the straight and narrow.

A family like no other....

Kenny’s son, Donny, might lack his father’s edge, but his twin grandsons, Beau and Brett - well, they are Bonds through and through. Like him, they won’t let anyone stand in their way.

But they’re about to meet their match.

Family comes before everything else for Kenny, but there’s a feud brewing that could cause murder, and a new family on Dark Lane might bring the Bonds to their knees. Kenny’s determined that nothing, and no one, will threaten his family. But can the Bonds stick together when someone’s out to take them down?

Meet the Bonds.

You don’t want to be on the wrong side of this family.

Where’s Annie?

Hated the narrator. Made the book far less interesting and also confusing when Kimberly is my fav author. Maybe need to purchase in paper form

Great story, shame about the narration

such a shame that Annie Alderlington didn't narrate this, was hard to follow at times and lack of pauses between scenes confused the story 😕 always a good story to be had by Kimberly, but seriously disappointed in the narrator.

Relationships

Family relationships, especially between the twins were portrayed well. I am hoping that the story of the twins continues in future books.

Meh.

Firstly, I didn't enjoy the narration, there were many many times where he read as if there was zero punctuation. For example it would be read as it the same sentence, but it ended up being a different character in a different location, but with no pause. Also sadly his irish accent is embarrassingly awful, truly awful.
The story followed a formula, much like Martina Cole, same story, different names. The second half was poorer than the beginning, literally rambling random scenarios.
Don't let negative reviews put you off the author, she has some great books, alas not this one...

Brilliant story

Waited months for this book to come out . Story was brilliant but was spoilt by the narration for me . Still enjoyed it just slightly let down by rubbish narration through parts .
