Summary

As the clock strikes midnight on New Year's Eve, Cass finds her husband lying naked on a coat-strewn bed, entwined with another woman. She's determined to get over him - and soon. Luckily, there are plenty of distractions: juggling a young family with a burgeoning social life and a return to work...and narrowly avoiding arrest.

Then one day, she falls for the last person she could ever have predicted....

a lovely relaxing read

This book was easy to delve into from the very beginning and truly enjoyable, I enjoyed every minute of it and what made it more enjoyable for me personally was that it didn't take intense concentration to keep track of the story. It was wonderful from start right through to it's conclusion and more excitingly it has a follow up book, what more could a reader ask for? 😊

Fantastic story … wrong narrator

Absolutely loved this book! Very funny; loads of giggle/laugh out loud moments. Wrong narrator though … Cassie sounded about 75 instead of 39, Morag sounded like a Glaswegian brothel madam and poor Jamie just sounded brainless and a bit underhand. However this didn’t spoil my enjoyment.

way too long

it started amazingly well, humour real life heartbreak and some suspense. Somewhere in the middle though too many characters introduced and the story went on and on and on, I almost didn't finish it

So Witty and Relatable

A great upbeat listen had me laughing out loud many times. A joy to listen to and a reminder never to give up (and not to take yourself too seriously)

Heartwarming

I love jilly bond’s narration. Lovely wholesome Christmas story. The ending feels a bit sharp I would have liked it to develop the story a little further. However a lovely listen.

Wrong narrator

Well written story, however the narrators voice was very annoying, too old for the character and spoke in a kind of grandma talking to baby kind of voice, sounded like she was laughing most of the time even during the sad parts, ruined the book for me.
