Some journeys never end

The book/audiobook prologue starts where Star Trek Generations left off, recalling Spock's last adventure with Captain Kirk. It's hard to discuss the story without ruining the plot but it is safe to say this feel like an episode of the Original Series (TOS) and is an enjoyable read/listen. You are urged to boldly go and read or listen for yourselves. LIVE LONG AND PROSPER!

Should be a trek film.

I read this book when it first came out and couldn't put it down 22 years later I listened to this version.

Shatner did a great job reading this and captures really characters essence, particularly Scotty and Spock.

This book series starting with this 1st book in the series would have made great star trek films

Captain James T Shatner

I often wonder listening to Shatner Star Trek stories if the man has not entirely forgotten that Kirk is a work of fiction? This is a good story though, with all the old favorites and no great knowledge of Star Trekkiverse needed. Enjoyed listening to it. You imagination soon takes over and fills in the images. Shatner is a good writer of this stuff to give him his due.

Great!

Great stuff from Shatner, but the story itself, sums up Kirk, in both his weaknesses and his strengths. Worth a listen!
