Summary
Billionaire chemist Max Varela is selling his company and leaving New York for good when Emily Wade bursts into his office, desperate for his help in funding her program for disadvantaged kids and shelter dogs. Seven years ago, he fell in love with her when she was married to another man. To fight the unbidden attraction, he cut off all contact - but he's never forgotten her.

sweet and sexy
This was a sweet, sexy novella. The narrator was great, very easy to listen to with good expression. I'd definitely listen to more of her and would also like to hear more of this series by this new to me author

Fantastic first book in series
Book one of the Second Chance series by Nancy Herkness.
Max is a successful tech company CEO but very unhappy with life.
Emily work for a non-profit centre for underprivileged kids and when a crisis happen and the centre new project was st risk Emily thought max could help.
Max has always had a thing for Emily but with her been happily married to his close friend she was untouchable but when she comes back into his life a widow nothing stopping the renewed feelings.
Love Nancy Herkness and her great storytelling especially including such great romance but not making the to cheesy. Definitely check out others in series

Great
Really good story, easy to listen to get caught up in. New to me author but I will be looking out for more if her books in the future.
