Summary

What if you discovered you'd been sold?

Disappointed

The story had potential but lacks depth. There's not much backstory, was Mason dropped on his head when he was a baby? He acts like a 12 year old. The end is contradictory to the basis of their goal. This story is too simple, which makes me think the writer lacks creativity.
