Summary

Kerry Barnes at her very best
I am a very big kerry Barnes fan but that didn't stop me returning my last two books of hers. This book brings you back to the start of her Cruel Secrets series and is just a brilliant listen, excellent story line and Annie Aldington's narration is as fantastic as ever.

Oppin Mad
Being of East London stock I could relate to characters and their relationships probably more than many. The characters were very believable and could have been any number of people I met in my youth. At one stage I did think it was going to be just another story based on the Kray twins and there were certainly many similarities to those stories. I did however find it difficult to put down and enjoyed the listen.

Fantastic
Although I’d read the books the wrong way round, I absolutely loved it didn’t want it to finish, fabulous Kerry Barnes and read by the best narrator in my opinion Annie Adlington.

Fantastic 10/10
So I’ve listened to all Martina Cole and Kimberly chambers books and stumbled on Kerry Barnes books this is my second and it’s brilliant ! I love the era and it’s such a great book thats pre cruel secrets !! Can I take a moment to say Annie Aldrington is brilliant the way she reads several books now I’ve laughed till I cried , and she reads this so well!! 10/10 Kerry Barnes for a great book I’m on to my next by you now !!!
