Summary

Elysium's designs are taking shape, and its sights are now set on a young man with a malignant new gift . . . as this grimdark LitRPG series continues.

Hell was no match for Riven Thane. He crushed every trial and escaped with two demon minions—and his life. At least, so to speak. Riven isn't so much alive as he is undead. Now, discovering his true self as a pureblooded vampire, he's feeling a little guilty and a lot hungry in this brand-new world. And what a world it is.

Earth as Riven knew it has merged with Zazir and Elhisterii to form the post-apocalyptic creation of the Elysium known as Panu. Here, errant goblins and vulnerable elves battle it out, ungodly monsters spawn like crazy, suicide zombies run wild, and the streets are strewn with human remains.

On a mission to find his sister, Allie—out there somewhere battling her own demons—Riven quickly learns that every time he kills his bloodlust only increases, bringing him ever closer to becoming a full-blown harbinger of doom. But maybe a vampiric hero is just what this mad new world needs.

Riven is embracing his destiny. He can feel it. His ancient ancestors are calling him home.

The second volume of the hit LitRPG adventure series—with more than 900,000 views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

I love everything about this book and the first one as I've been waiting for a book like these with the MC being a Vampire. also, I love the Voice performance for all the characters.

Not as good as book 1 a weak story

The first book had a main character with purpose, resolve and a clear goal. Book 2 took a long time for the main character to find his resolve and really come to grips with the world and his situation. The ending salvaged this book for me.

I don't want to spoil the book but the main character spent too much time helping people who feared him and things seemed very unfocused. The pragmatism in book 1 is missing.

There are hints at possible romance in the future which would take away from the story in my opinion. There is some of the same humour which is nice and I liked the minion interactions.

There are ideas from other litrpg being added into the story which takes away from the world created and the main character got abilities too fast. This book seems like nothing but set up for the next.

Opportunities and resources are wasted get a great weapon upgrade it again quickly or earn lots of money and have spend it as a minion who can fight a boss gets killed in one shot.

The narrator did a great job but the story is weak. I can hope the next book is better.
