Summary
One Last Secret … would you kill to keep it?
One last client
A week at a beautiful French chateau should be an easy final job for Dora. She’s smart, stunning and discreet.
She only needs to convince the other guests that she’s Daniel’s girlfriend.
One last chance
One final, luxurious week and she can leave the dangerous, difficult escort world, because Dora has fallen in love and is ready to embrace a better future.
One last secret
But as the guests assemble, it becomes terrifyingly apparent that putting her past behind her is impossible. And one last secret could cost Dora everything, including her life…
From the Sunday Times Number One bestseller Adele Parks comes a blisteringly provocative novel about power, sex, money and revenge.

Great story from the first sentence
Excellent story and throughly enjoyed the narration. It had me hooked from the first few lines. Will definitely be exploring the rest of the Authors titles, highly recommended

Fine Writing
The plot was perhaps a little on the weak side and stretched out, however the writing was superb. Adele Parks paints a picture for the listener and you really can feel that you are there. The narrator helps a lot, relishing every word that is crafted for her to read.
Unfortunately the story involves a lot of misery for the listener to get absorbed into, It feels like the lead character is talking directly to the camera the whole time, using first person present tense to make it seem real.
So, basically the story is about Dora who dropped out of drama school when she got pregnant and had a really tough life for the next 12 years and finally finding herself in great peril in her occupation as an escort. Quite a few twists todays the end of the story that helped liven things up.

Grim & depressing
I listened to the whole book whilst travelling & almost binned it on several occasions however, I managed to last the course. I really can not recommend. It’s a depressing story of an escort / sex worker with some quite unbelievable scenarios. I have no knowledge of the industry maybe such things happen?
I’d suggest you save your credits for a much more fulfilling book. This in my opinion is tosh.

Tantalising tale
An excellently twisting tale of dramatic troubles and joy, brilliantly read, tantalising to the end.

Great story with twists.
A great story well written and performed. Keeps one on the edge of one’s seat. With multiple twists throughout and right up to the end. I will now search out more Adele Parks works. Highly recommended.

Did the editor stop work mid book?
I enjoyed the first half of the book, but suddenly it felt like the editor had stopped editing. Long, unnecessary passages and even chapters. It felt like the second half was quickly added as padding.

Unnecessarily padded
Really different and good story but so much padding and excessive waffle. Would have been more enjoyable if 2/3 hours shorter.

Addictive but very far fetched
I enjoyed this but found it far fetched and a bit ludicrous in parts, found myself picking holes in the storyline but maybe I was over thinking! It would be a good holiday read.

Dragged on and on and on
Main character wasn't likeable at all, when she's not a smug working woman, she's a whiney victim.
The story unfolds so slowly that any actual storyline is a relief from the constant repeating of the same thoughts albeit worded slightly differently
When things start to go wrong at the chateau, none of it is believable. Not the original suggestions or the actual ones.
Finding out who was behind it wasn't a shock it wasn't even a surprise.
The cold hearted way the truth comes to light make you feel that they all just deserve one another
Really cannot stand the dreary way the narrator reads the lead character, although I found her changing voices, accents etc very well done
