Not as good at Which Witch
I was expecting a rather more alternate reality to the one we got, based on the purchase of other books by Eva Ibbotson. This is a bit of a half way house; some real creatures, some not. Some unusual people, some not. It seems a bit more ploddy because of that - or maybe the eco message makes it feel that way.
Never the less, it does have a few really gripping set pieces in it. Just a bit too long in-between them.
My boys (aged 5 & 7) love the Great Ghost Rescue and Which Witch to bits. I don't think they will ask for this book to replayed over and over in quite the same way.
