Summary

Thor's hammer is missing again. The thunder god has a disturbing habit of misplacing his weapon - the mightiest force in the Nine Worlds. But this time the hammer isn't just lost; it has fallen into enemy hands.

If Magnus Chase and his friends can't retrieve the hammer quickly, the mortal worlds will be defenseless against an onslaught of giants. Ragnarok will begin. The Nine Worlds will burn. Unfortunately, the only person who can broker a deal for the hammer's return is the gods' worst enemy, Loki - and the price he wants is very high.

Loving the series

Story was yet another great entry. I honestly love every character with my favourites being Harth and Alex.
I have to say I love the representation in these books and it's very refreshing and really adds to the characters and world.

Performance from the narrator was great too.

Excellent story, not sure about the narrator

Another good book from Rick Riordan. Not sure about Kieran Culkin as a narrator.

There are places where I had to zip back and listen again because he was talking so fast. It’s nice to get variations in pace to go along with the pace of the story, but it ruins the flow if I don’t catch what’s said and have to go back. The worst bit is that he’s narrator on book 3. I can’t NOT read it, I have to know what happens 😫

Great fan but.....

I love the Magnus Chase stories but this is a terrible rendition. Read way to fast and with little feeling, please don't let the reader narrate another book.

Too many run on sentences

It’s a great book but the narrator reads too fast and everything seems to jumble together.

Great Story, Bad Pronunciation By Narrator

What did you like most about Magnus Chase and the Hammer of Thor?

Loved the story line, also the gender fluid story ark was very thought provoking.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I dislike the narrators pronunciation or norse words, this alone was the only drawback of the book

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Death is only the start
