Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
The audiobook of I Shall Wear Midnight is narrated by Indira Varma (Game of Thrones; Luther; This Way Up). BAFTA and Golden Globe award-winning actor Bill Nighy (Love Actually; Pirates of the Caribbean; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) reads the footnotes, and Peter Serafinowicz (Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace; Shaun of the Dead) stars as the voice of Death. Steven Cree (Outlander; A Discovery of Witches) voices the Nac Mac Feegles. Featuring a new theme tune composed by James Hannigan.
As the witch of the Chalk, Tiffany Aching performs the distinctly unglamorous work of caring for the needy.
But someone - or something - is inciting fear, generating dark thoughts and angry murmurs against witches.
Tiffany must find the source of unrest and defeat the evil at its root. Aided by the tiny-but-tough Wee Free Men, Tiffany faces a dire challenge, for if she falls, the whole Chalk falls with her...
I Shall Wear Midnight is the fourth book in the Tiffany Aching series, but you can listen to the Discworld novels in any order.
The first book in the Discworld series - The Colour of Magic - was published in 1983. Some elements of the Discworld universe may reflect this.

Indira is amazing
These are just such good adaptations. The narration and voices are spot on. I loved the Stephen Briggs ones but these just go above and beyond

Another wonderful tale
Indira Varma does such an excellent job of bringing these stories to life. Her voicing of the characters makes them utterly believable - including the men, which enables the story to flow.
Coupled with the excellent writing, a great piece of escapism!

Amazing
Indira Varma was made to narrate these books. Especially the female voices like in the 10-12 witches novels. I love reading the Discworld series and had to listen to to audiobooks after an accident. Thanks Indira, you have made listening to audiobooks a pleasure.

Fantastic
Amazing performance of an amazing book! I cannot wait for my daughters to be old enough to introduce them to Tiffany and this audiobook just might make that a reality little sooner

I absolutely love this book.
Having read and reread all the Discworld books, many times, I absolutely love the audiobooks. They add to the whole experience and always bring something new. I am finding that I have missed some of the hidden meanings when reading the books, (I am fairly literally minded). The audios go so very well with the written books, I cannot stop listing to them.
I loved the Stephen Briggs readings although I feel in some parts the narration seems a bit rushed. I much prefer the pacing of the new versions. Indira Varma, Steven Cree, Bill Nighy and Peter Serafinowics are perfect for these books.

This has been my favourite book since I was about 9 years old when it came out, and Tiffany as a character had such a huge impact on me when I first read it. The performances and narration are perfect and it's been so fun to re-experience this story again as a 21 year old and still feel the same as I did when I first read it :)

Perfect narration
This has long been one of my favourite Discworld novels. I have read and reread it. Indira Varma and Steven Cree’s narration captures Pratchett’s Tiffany Aching and her world perfectly. Another wonderful new audio version of a magnificent series. Crivens! (Michael).
