Summary
Free the crows, Fallon, and they will make you queen.
Until an oracle predicted my regal future, I'd never imagined myself rising above the curve of my round ears. After all, I was the magicless halfling loved by beasts but loathed by every pure-blooded faerie at court. Well...by all but one.
Dante Regio, prince of Luce, had owned my heart since he gave me my first kiss. If gathering a slew of iron relics could help me overthrow the current monarch and crown his brother to rule at my side, then treasure hunting I'd go.
If only the oracle had warned me what winged demon I was releasing into the world.
And that I'd become this demon's obsession.
Fans of Sarah J. Maas and Mary E. Pearson will devour this epic fantasy romance full of deceit, betrayal, and false loves that could swallow a person whole.

I love this story
Brilliant read, the story is captivating, the world-building is phenomenal, and the characters are fantastic. You need to read this if you like fantasy. This story kept me on edge, all the twists and turns where giving me whiplash in the best possible way, I love how original and refreshing this story is going. On the top reads of the year, the narration by Olivia King was good, I recommend you get the audiobook to go with the book, they compliment each other perfectly.

Unique and interesting
I found this to be an interesting and most importantly a unique story. It contains familiar themes but was a new tale with its own rich lore. I enjoyed the variety of characters and motivations.
I didn’t mind the narrator at all and will happily buy the next book to continue the series.

Loved it
Slow burn story full of intricate details. The girl can be a little daft, but otherwise great read.

Enjoyable
First of all the story is nice but what ruined it for me was the accent of the narrator. A story set in “middle aged” Italy read by a narrator with British accent. I mean she did a great job with the narration but I was picturing England throughout the whole story 😂 her accent was also hard to understand. I had to stop several times and relisten because I couldn’t understand her properly. I think in this case it might be better to read the book. But maybe other listeners have a completely different experience.

The worst narration I have ever heard!
This is a great book and the story, well written. If I would have read it physically, I would have loved it. BUT, the narration was HORRIFIC. The mis pronunciation was so frustrating that there were moments where I was screaming out loud! I am British. I am from Britain. What on earth is Her-arse-ment? - the word you need is harassment! or Eye-laaarshes? ITS EYELASHES! The word "clad" is not "claaard". Pants are not "paaarnts". like seriously? I have NEVER left a review on audible this long. It is infuriating and frustrating and has definitely made me switch back to books. I feel like I have wasted a credit and I'm massively annoyed.

Great world and characters
Loved the story building. Interesting world and engaging characters. Female narrator was superb but the male narrator doing the epilogue was very hard to understand. Overall very enjoyable but hope a different male narrator is used going forward.

Love this story and the voice actors
I loved this story when I first read it, but to hear it read aloud was perfection! The voice actors really brought it to life and I got the same feels throughout, though heightened due to the narrative!! Beautiful!! I look forward to hearing the next book!!
Review of the story:
She's done it again. House of Beating Wings is filled with slow-burn romance, awesome world building, character and plot twists and a relatable, if a little naive, female protagonist! Not to mention your next book boyfriend!
Fallon is relatively naive when it comes to romance and the opposite sex and also accepts her situation in life. That is until things in her world start to unravel. She needs to work out who she is and what she's capable of pretty quickly, because the fate of a civilisation is resting on her decisions. However, she also needs to battle her emotions and love interests throughout and work through her naivety.
Lorcan is your next flame. Although this is slow-burn, Lore is set to be your next book love interest. He develops throughout the book and grows on you. Can't wait to see more of him in the next book. This is all coupled with a brilliant fantasy world, with its own lore; encompassing fae, shifters, magic and humans, all of which have their own abilities

Long winded but worth it
Very well written, did go on a bit, not enough romance for me but will give the next book in this series a go.
