Summary

Soon to be a major TV series, with Jessica Chastain as executive producer.

If there are two sides to every story, someone is always lying....

Jack: Three words to describe my wife: beautiful. Ambitious. Unforgiving.

Anna: I only need one word to describe my husband: liar.

When a woman is murdered in Blackdown village, newsreader Anna Andrews is reluctant to cover the case. Anna’s ex-husband, DCI Jack Harper, is suspicious of her involvement, until he becomes a suspect in his own murder investigation. Someone is lying, and some secrets are worth killing to keep.

Amazing story & great narration

This is the first novel I have listened/read by this author & it certainly won’t be the last. What a great pack of twists & turns. The book was well written & narration was amazing. It certainly kept me wanting to listen. I did the whole book in just 2 sessions. What a surprise ending. Brilliant.

Fantastic

His And Hers By Alice Feeney
Sometimes I Lie, by this author is one of my favourite audiobooks, so I was delighted to start this. Having bought the ebook first, I ended up listening to it on audio, and was glad I did.
The storyline was fantastic, and kept me guessing right to the end. Having formed multiple theories from the beginning, all I can say is I got it wrong.
Seeing Stephanie Racine and Richard Armitage were the narrators for this was the icing on the cake. I have struggled a bit with audiobooks lately, but listened to this for 3 hours yesterday and two hours today, just dying to see how it ended.
Really enjoyed this

Excellent

This had me hooked from the start just wanted to know how it would end. Kept me guessing and wondering how all the “ coincidences “ would work out. Excellent satisfactory ending . Well narrated by the two readers. Look forward to listening to more from this author if they are all as good as this story.

This book enthralled me from beginning to end Some very dark events but the plot gripped me so much I binge listened in a couple of days. Great narration.

Brilliant 5 star!

What a rollercoaster ride! Grips the listener from the start and keeps going - I loved it! Would recommend for lovers of thriller/suspense books. And the narration superb; one of the few books I think is better on audio. Definitely recommend.

Complete mess of a plot at the end

I stuck with it as found it intriguing - up to a point - when it just got a bit silly. The big reveal at the end made no sense at all. Wasn’t rooting for any of the characters. Disappointing and I’ll definitely give it a miss when it makes it to the big/small screen

Page Turner

This book is a page turner. There are stylistic hints and themes I thought of Susan Hill's short stories A Bit Of Singing And Dancing. I would recommend this book. I had no idea who the suspect was. I guessed wrong all the way, so for me, the book was cleverly plotted in this regard. Overall I thought it was a 4 star book which is perfectly respectable and worthy of praise.
