With a hurricane barreling toward Blackbird Beach, Georgia Carpenter is faced with new problems and the need to work faster than ever. The last thing she needs is more damage to the inn, but she can’t control nature.

What she can control is how the people around her weather that storm. In a bid to protect those she loves, she pulls them all close, opening her new home as a place of shelter.

Worth continuing/listening

The story is worth continuing. Feels nice and relaxing to listen while working on something + it's free, along with the rest of the books.

Back to back listening

I’m loving this series, it’s back to back listening. The characters stay true but also evolve as the story continues.

Could have been more exciting

How could a writer make a Florida hurricane so boring? A couple of editing issues early on. A good representation of cooking in the States where folk just dump bottles and cans over fresh ingredients and call it homemade. Good ending, got me hooked into no 5.

OMG! SOOOOO MUCH DOMESTIC DETAIL COULDN’T FINISH SERIES 😫

Lovely stories but the domestic details just got so tedious! How many times can someone make coffee, go to back to the fridge, back to the kettle, pour the water etc etc etc?! It was just ridiculous ! The series could be edited by half at least.
Shame .
