Summary

Carole Seddon's trusty Renault is one of her most treasured possessions. So when it is vandalised, there's only one person she will entrust with its repair: Bill Shefford has been servicing the vehicles of the good citizens of Fethering for many years. But how could something like this happen in Fethering of all places?

Then the note is shoved under Carole's kitchen door: Watch out. The car window was just the start. She has been deliberately targeted. But by whom and why?

Matters take an even more disturbing turn when a body is discovered at Shefford's Garage, crushed to death by a falling gearbox. It appears to be a tragic accident. Carole and her neighbour Jude are not so sure.

Adore the Fethering mysteries

Adore these light and fluffy mysteries. I like the humour and that they are read by the author.

The Jude and Carol team

A soothing listen in this current mad world! Read very well, as ever. Thanks to the author.

Fethering Mysteries latest.

Another enjoyable foray to Fethering, brilliantly read by the author. Although the BBC-type digs that middle-aged British women are all racist is tedious.

So happy Carole Seddon is back!

I thoroughly enjoyed this 20th book in the series.
I was so pleased to see there was a new one out. The last one felt a bit flat but this one was great.

Sniffing

I did enjoy the story but the sniffing I found irritating and unnecessary . Why sniff

A return to form

Another great Fethering mystery, particularly after its predecessor, which, whilst ok, seemed slightly subpar, somehow. Only one more in the series to go & I’m hesitating whether to go for a final binge now, or hold off for a bit…

just saying .....

again a good listen but I do think The author should check his legal facts - the spousal intestacy rules are not quite as simple and straightforward as he represents them.

Another brilliant Fethering mystery!

As with all the books, this was no exception with a brilliant storyline, read by Simon Brett, who makes it even better. I'm worried now that he's thinking of sending Jude away, so I beg him, please, please don't. I can wait for the next book!!!
