Summary

Imagine a world where everyone is disappearing and soon you may be the only one left.

A truck crashes on the M40 causing one of the worst motorway pileups for years but the driver is nowhere to be found. Over the next few days more unexplained disappearances occur, leaving investigators puzzled, and the government in a panic.

Amid claims of alien abductions and prophecies of a biblical nature, Josh believes there may be another explanation involving time travel. But his theories will have to wait because as the population vanishes at a frightening rate, and society begins to break down, those who remain are plunged into a desperate battle for survival.

Unravel the mystery by joining the time bubble team in their latest adventure, which once again expands the time travel genre in a fresh and innovative way.

The best, and most concerning, Time Bubble book yet

I've already read the book but have the audio version a listen. I don't normally like audio books as the readers don't match my preconceptions of the characters - not their fault.
Samuel James does an excellent job here and by way of recommendation, I'm reposting my ebook review.

Jason Ayres has a reaI knack for producing high quality fiction. This one is no different and brings all the characters back together at one ooint or another in this story.

The worrying, but unsurprising, themebin this book is humanity, the lack of it,and how we recognise ourselves. Also worrying is just how predictable we as a species might be when challenged.

I had thought this story was going in a certain direction, when it swerved quite severely. And let's just say the light it portrays politicians in came as absolutelyno surprise whatsoever.I can easily attach names to some of the characters, which says very, very liittle for the current ruling party.

A brilliant read ( and now listen too), just a shame I finished it so quickly and now need to wait for Mr Ayres's next work.

Loved the story and performance

Another great story involving the Time bubble crew of Josh, Lauren, Charlie, Kayleigh, Hannah and others. I binge listened to the whole series before this one so it’s been several months since I read one of these.

This was an intriguing tale, well described and narrated well. It was about a quarter way in that i realised where this sat in the Time bubble timeline. I won’t spoil it for you.

Disappearing people was the essence of the story and this was well handled.

Also very well handled was the portrayal of government officials Dominic and Jenna who map very well onto two of today’s real life (allegedly disgraced) politicians

I enjoyed the conclusion and am looking forward to the 80s story next but hope this isn’t the last we hear of the Time Bubble crew. It did say ‘the end. For now’ at the end.

Here’s hoping.

Interesting concept

Unsure where this was going as didn’t align to rest of books, till the end, then it aligns. Really good as normal, good narrations, good story
