Summary

What if the people who have the power to change your life are the ones who have been there all along…

Like stars in the night sky, freckles are scattered across Allegra Bird’s arms, a legacy from her beloved father.

Her legacy from her mother is more complicated–until one question from a stranger inspires a change. What if it isn’t about fitting in, but finding the people who make you who you are? Who would those people be?

As she searches for connection, Allegra is about to find out that it is our differences that make life worth living–if only someone can help you to join the dots . . .

Cecelia Ahern’s previous novel Postscript was a Sunday Times bestseller w/c 16th September 2019.

"As this gorgeous novel illuminates, life goes on, even in the wake of loss." (Nicholas Sparks, best-selling author of The Notebook)

"Everything a greedy reader wants: a moving story, absorbing characters, engaging writing and as much of a page-turner as you’d expect." (Irish Times)

Lovely Book

I loved how this book recognises the quirks in all of us, not one of us is "normal". I also love how the booked acknowledges our need to be special, to mean something to people and also that most of us already do if we just look around us.

Freckles

Love this. So well read with all the voices & characters. A real. Dublin feel to it. Loved the story and the xonceot of the list of 5, which I had never heard of before this story. Now off to make my own list ♥️

Different to her other books

I have read every one of Cecelia A'Hern books and have loved all of them. This was different! it was slow to start and slightly boring - However, it did improve and I'm glad I stuck with it, as it turned out actually quite good, definitely thought provoking. The audio transcript was performed brilliantly.

Thought provoking

Loved this book. Allegra can sometimes be irritating but loved hearing her find her “five” and leaves you feeling emotional and looking at your own “five”.

Highly recommend!

Feel good read

Really loved this book and whilst not all heart and flowers the way that the raw subjects were portrayed meant I had to finish it!
