Summary
Movie star Jessica Lambert is in danger of burning out. Returning to London for the premiere of her latest film, she's recognized everywhere she goes. When she runs away through the streets of London, she's taken in by the beautiful and more mature Anna. The two hide in the sanctuary of Anna's roof-top flat, a haven away from the crowds, but why has Anna removed herself from the world?
As the two women get to know each other, stripping away the layers, both appreciate what each does for the other. This could be the start of something wonderful, more than either of them know.
Contains mature themes.

Slow start.......
Slow start and I nearly gave us a few times but it got better the more it went on. The narrator was really good and lifted the audio, her accents (especially Penny and Anna were excellent)! Free plus catalogue so what's not to like ?

❤🤍🤍
A moving story. Engaging MC's trying to find their way through differing difficulties in their lives. All's well in the end.
Super narration bringing all the characters to life and giving them quite distinct voices.
Loved it.

A gorgeous book
I was already in love with this book but so happy the narration could do it justice. Jess & Anna’s story told beautifully by Gabrielle Baker. Looking forward to more hopefully.

Exceptional Story, Solid Narrator
I absolutely adored the wirrten copy of this book & was excited to see what the audiobook had in store for me. Overall, I loved it. I think the narrator did a great job at portraying the storyline. However, I feel like some of the accents & character voices could have been better, as they didn't seem distinctive enough.
The storyline is sublime though, the characters feel like real, complex, 3-Dimensional people, the descriptive imagery is exceptional, the humour is infectious and threaded perfectly throughout the story to balance the drama of the overall themes, and the romance between the two protagonists is one of the most honest, heartwarming and healthy loves I've seen portrayed in any romance novel.
Although, this book is about two people who live in a world and industry not many people get to experience first hand. The overall themes of this book are so poignant and universal that it doesn't matter if you've never stepped foot on a stage or had your picture taken in your entire life. Personally, I found myself connecting to the characters and their feelings so deeply, as if they were my own, regardless of the differences between us. That is a true testament to Clare Ashton's talent as an author, she made me feel what they felt. So much so, I laughed, cried, my heart pounded against my chest (for a variety of reasons) and every kind of emotion took my breath away on multiple occasions.
I adored getting to know Anna and Jess, and following their epic love story and I know for a fact I will return to visit them many more times to come in the future. In short, this book is absolutely phenomenal and everyone should read it!

Excellent
I don’t often give five stars to a book or leave a review, but I felt this was necessary in the case of “Finding Jessica Lambert”.
I loved the well-rounded, likeable, but flawed characters (Penny a particular favourite), which were brought to life fantastically by the narration. I’ve listened to a few books read by Gabrielle Baker and this is the first time I have been truly wowed by her performance and lost in the characters and the story, thanks to the great material Clare Ashton has written.
All in all, an excellent listen and I will look out for more audiobooks written by Clare Ashton in the future.

Layered and fabulous
Although this book follows the same formula as all romance novels it somehow manages to go deeper. We are taken on a journey with characters who are trying to cope with life and find someone to help with that. It’s such a beautiful story and I highly recommend it.

Wow
This audio is bloody fantastic. What a story. It’s so well written and the anxiety and journey Jess and Anna go on is just beautiful. The narrator did a fabulous job and bringing the characters to life. If you love age gap romances you will love this. The dynamic between the MCs is gorgeous and their chemistry is off the charts. The supporting cast is entertaining and funny especially Penny. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it

Beautiful, tender, captivating and well narrated
It is not very often that I enjoy an audiobook as much as I enjoyed this one. I feel sad to have reached the end and to say goodbye to the characters and their lives.
Clare Ashton has taken great care writing this novel; no corners are cut here. The story arc of this engaging story beautifully details the development of a relationship between two introspective women and never veers off course with unnecessary padding. There are some lovely descriptive passagees that bring insight to the well developed and sympathetic characters and add to the overall tenderness of their story.
Gabrielle Baker does a fantastic job narrating the story. She manages, convincingly, to convey a variety of British accents, all the while getting across the essence of the various characters, their emotional states and the tone of the story.

Finding Lexa
Age gap romance + Clare Ashton = my favorite thing ever, a touching and warming tale of taking chances and believing in yourself, and others.
