Summary

Dan Starkey reads this original novel featuring the 12th Doctor and Clara, as played in the BBC TV series by Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman.

The Phaeron travelled among the stars using roads made from time and space but left only relics behind when they disappeared over a million years ago. But what actually happened to the Phaeron?

In the far future, humans discover the last Phaeron road - and the Doctor and Clara join the mission to see where it leads. Each member of the team knows exactly what they're looking for - but only the Doctor knows exactly what they'll find.

Because only the Doctor knows the true secret of the Phaeron: a secret so terrible and powerful that it must be buried in the deepest grave imaginable....

A complete and unabridged reading by Dan Starkey, who plays Strax the Sontaran in the BBC TV series.

Brilliant performance from Dan Starkey

Very well performed Audio Book. Pleasure to listen to. Dan really captures The Doctor and Clara in his performance. Sometimes you'd think Peter Capaldi was doing the voice.
Story is engaging and clever. Would have easily made a great episode of the TV show with its great pace, clever plot elements and a great villain in The Glamour.
Definitely worth reading or listening to.

Narration

The book was well narrated. My only problem was the Scottish accent, other than that I rurally enjoyed it

Doctor Who Deep Time Review By Duncan McLeod

I loved it very much and I loved Dan Sharkey's narration of this audio book because he makes the characters his own.

Gripping Tale Well Read

Great narration- at times you'd actually think Capaldi was present- and a tight, well structured narrative with nicely drawn characters.
Some gruesome scenes too for a touch of horror similar to the Baker era.

For Clara fans you're in luck; it's quite Clara-centric and both she and the Dr sound pitch perfect in their conversation.
Highly Recommended.

Exciting Dr Who Adventure, Brilliant Narration!!

I absolutely loved this story, it was exiting, gripping, and a little bit tense. Dan Starkey is a great narrator and he made the whole book come alive. His 12th Doctor interpretation is exceptional. I loved the writing of Trevor Baxendale, he caught the doctor superbly and I have to admit made me laugh out loud at some of the Doctors comments. Peter Capaldi is one of my favourite Doctor Who's. Loved it.
