About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
THE PHENOMENAL INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER - 1 MILLION COPIES SOLD.
Transform your life with tiny changes in behaviour, starting now.
People think that when you want to change your life, you need to think big. But world-renowned habits expert James Clear has discovered another way. He knows that real change comes from the compound effect of hundreds of small decisions: doing two push-ups a day, waking up five minutes early, or holding a single short phone call.
He calls them atomic habits.
In this ground-breaking book, Clears reveals exactly how these minuscule changes can grow into such life-altering outcomes. He uncovers a handful of simple life hacks (the forgotten art of Habit Stacking, the unexpected power of the Two Minute Rule, or the trick to entering the Goldilocks Zone), and delves into cutting-edge psychology and neuroscience to explain why they matter. Along the way, he tells inspiring stories of Olympic gold medalists, leading CEOs, and distinguished scientists who have used the science of tiny habits to stay productive, motivated, and happy.
These small changes will have a revolutionary effect on your career, your relationships, and your life.

Editor reviews
James Clear’s best seller Atomic Habits sets out to prove that improving your life doesn’t have to mean making enormous changes. You can make real, important changes with small alterations in your routine—waking up five minutes early, or doing two push-ups a day. In fact, Clear states that there are only 10 simple steps you need to take in order to create remarkable change in your life.
Clear himself narrates the book and as a frequent podcaster and a guest on countless talk shows, his compelling voice makes his life lessons easy to digest. The tips and methods you’ll hear are paired with real life stories of Olympic athletes, business bigwigs and leading scientists, demonstrating how Clear’s advice has been put into action by real people — and how you can apply these methods to improve your own day-to-day.

If you only buy 1 book on behaviour change...
Make it this one ! I have worked in the field of behaviour change for over 20 years and this is the most comprehensive, consise and practical book I have read. Not only is it a great book about creating good habits and removing bad ones, it is also a great book about generally improving your life.

Wealth of tips and knowledge
One of my favourite books.
Read in a clear and descriptive nature with great examples to back up the tips, from habit forming and breaking to productivity.
Just as you think it's going over old ground, up comes something new.
Great listen, very helpful, and I've read/listened to a LOT of motivation, productivity and mindset books!

Book of life
I don't write many reviews. I have read hundreds of self-development books over the years. There is a handful that resonates and made a real difference to me as a person. This is definitely one of those books. Simple, effective and well delivered.
I will dip into this book in the future. Not just a book about habits, there is so much more to offer.

Short but life changing
I already began on my habit tracker plan, but I had heard this book spoken off so often and I must say I was not dispatched. Do yourself a favour

Best book I have ever listened to!
This book is by far the best book I have ever listened to or ever read.
All of the self-development/ self-help books and bestsellers i have ever read now make sense because of this book. It teaches you simple strategies that you can apply in your life straight away to break bad habits and make new ones. A lot of the information is common sense or something many of us have tucked away in our subconscious mind and the author is amazing at bringing this out into the open for you to implement in real life. This knowledge, if practiced and applied correctly, can be used in any area of your life for better and more fulfilling, successful and happy life; be it relationships, business, personal growth and any other part of the life you need to improve in. I am now listening to this book for the second time and buying a paperback copy so I have it handy to refer to whenever I need (I have a photographic memory so remember information better once I see it). The narrator, the author himself is brilliant as well, probably the most appealing voice form all of the books I have listened to and not annoying like some of them. Overall 5 out of 5 stars and I would give 6 if I could! This book will change your life!
