Sir Charles Huxley kept a dark secret — a secret the former government minister should have taken to the grave.

His son, William, lives an uneventful life in his late father’s shadow. He never planned on becoming a middle-aged bachelor, and he definitely didn’t plan a career as a low-level politician, but that is now William’s lot … until it’s not.

One evening, William has a chance encounter which sets off an escalating series of sinister events, culminating in a damning revelation about his father’s past. That revelation drags William into the darkest of blackmail plots.

With his blackmailer having cunningly closed every exit, William is trapped, and faces personal and financial ruin. That is until an odd job man working at his local bar steps forward and offers help.

With no alternative, William is forced to join his peculiar saviour on a desperate mission to stop his blackmailer, and unearth the shattering truth about the wrong’un.©2018 Keith A. Pearson (P)2019 W. F. Howes Ltd Fantasy Historical Mystery Supernatural Suspense Thriller & Suspense Paranormal

Really love this series. Clement is a terrific character. Can’t wait to skip to the next one.

Excellent 👍

I'm assuming the the title also refers to the narrator, completely odd intonation, phrasing and delivery. I did enjoy the story though.

Good second book

Loving the series. Very cleverly written. Great narrator too. On to the next book in the series now.

Great book!

This is another winner, a great storyline with a couple of red herrings , interesting characters and Clement.
Initially I found the narration somewhat grating so I read some of the book on Kindle but when I returned to Audible I found it okay: most politicians voices and delivery are somewhat annoying aren't they?
Untill I discovered Keith A. Pearson I'd read very little fiction, but I've read both Mungo Thunk, 2 ' Who sent Clement?' with the next 2 lined up, plus others.
Terrier next..or Clawthorn?

Another result for K.A.P. and Clement

I loved the first Clement book and for some strange reason I couldn't connect with this one for about 10 chapters - the story, the narration, nothing was clicking for me...how wrong I was by the end of the book!

I won't give any spoilers, but whatever you do make sure you stay with this one no matter how it may seem (to me anyway).

Thoroughly enjoyable, great narration and story, and can't wait for the next installment of everyone's favourite double denim hero.

Worth sticking with
